Cultural
Awareness Symposium 2010
A symposium addressing the challenge we face as medical
professionals to confront issues of Cultural Awareness. Lectures will be
presented by four well renowned medical professionals who specialize
in issues of cultural diversity and health disparities. Participants will be
encouraged to learn about the concept of cultural awareness, its importance
and application in the role of a medical professional, and the ability to
self-reflect on personal experiences in culture. CME and ethics grand rounds
credit are available to participants.
Note: The opening discussion session will
be held at 5:00pm April 6, 2010 just prior to the first presentation.
The closing discussion session will be held after the last presentation on
April 15, 2010.
