Catholic
Concentration in Health Care Ethics Programs
The
Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy now offers a
concentration in Catholic health care ethics. This concentration can be
earned within both the Masters Degree Program and the Certificate
Program. Courses in the concentration provide
students with a foundation in the Catholic moral tradition and Canon law,
examine the tradition's application of these commitments in the clinical
setting, and survey major religious traditions as they inform diverse,
religious perspectives in bioethics.
Requirements for completing the Catholic concentration in the Masters Degree
program and Certificate program are outlined below.
Masters Degree in Bioethics and Health Policy
with a Catholic Concentration
The Masters Degree in
Bioethics and Health Policy with a Catholic Concentration requires a total
of thirty (30) credits, ten credits of which must be fulfilled by the
following:
Certificate in Bioethics and Health Policy
with a Catholic Concentration
The Certificate in
Bioethics and Health Policy with a Catholic Concentration requires a total
of twelve (12) credits.
